The Federal Government has unveiled a portal, NEXIT , for former N-power beneficiaries to apply for other Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Empowerment Options. The platform, which was developed in collaboration with the CBN, will enable exited N-power beneficiaries to log on and apply for the various economic, empowerment and entrepreneurship options provided by the CBN. Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Farouq, encouraged interested exited beneficiaries of N-power to log on to the portal and provide the required additional information for possible placements into the various CBN intervention options. In a statement by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Bashir Alkali, it was emphasised that the NEXIT PORTAL will determine the suitability of the beneficiaries for the CBN affiliated programs. A cleric, Revd. Johnson Oladimeji , of Solution Baptist Church , Ikere Ekiti, was on Friday found dead in his car along the Igbara Odo – Ikere Ekiti Road. A new report released by the Global Terrorism Index (GTI) has ranked Nigeria , for the sixth consecutive year, as the third most terrorized country in the world. The report which was released on Wednesday, November 25, ranked Afghanistan as the number one most terrorized country in the world, followed by Iraq. Syria, Somalia, and Yemen are ranked fourth, fifth, and sixth respectively. A Federal Court in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has convicted six Nigerians over alleged funding of Boko Haram. The conviction was upheld by the appellate court after they lost an earlier appeal at a lower court. Two of the convicts – Surajo Abubakar Muhammad and Saleh Yusuf Adamu were sentenced to life imprisonment, while the rest – Ibrahim Ali Alhassan, AbdurRahman Ado Musa, Bashir Ali Yusuf and Muhammad Ibrahim Isa, got ten-year prison sentences each. According to court documents, between 2015 and 2016, the convicts were involved in cash transfers totalling $782,000.00 to Boko Haram. A Twitter user has alleged that cartons of noodles which are COVID-19 palliatives from Nigeria have been spotted for sale in London. The palliatives, contributed under the Coalition Against COVID-19 (CACOVID) scheme during the peak of the pandemic was meant to be distributed to Nigerians to cushion the effect of the virus on the life of citizens. Chisom @_PLICE shared a screenshot of the message he received from a UK resident who took a snapshot of the branded palliative noodles he came across at an African market in East ham, London. The new police unit called Special Weapons and Tactics Unit ( SWAT ) on Monday began its training with over 400 personnel at the Police Mobile College in Eggon, Nasarawa State. President Yoweri Museveni was on Monday, November 2, nominated by the Uganda Electoral Commission to contest in 2021 general election as he seeks to extend his rule to the fourth decade. He claims the married man, whose wife is abroad, visited his side chic unannounced and saw she was cheating on him with another man. In anger, he collected the iPhone he bought for her. The side chic went to her married lover’s house to fight and retrieve her phone and when she didn’t succeed, she reported him to police officers in a police station in Rumuokoro. A soldier has been spotted in a video beating a woman for ‘indecent’ dressing in Beere community of  Ibadan , Oyo state. There was also a video evidence of him cutting the hair of some of passers-by after allegedly harassing and extorting them. An eyewitness alleged that residents of the area now live in fear following the “extreme actions” of the “Operation Beast” soldiers in the state where there is no curfew.
