AAUA: 200M MISAPPROPRIATION STORY, A TISSUE OF LIES

Image
PRESS RELEASE 28/11/2019. AAUA: 200M MISAPPROPRIATION STORY, A TISSUE OF LIES The attention of the management of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, has been drawn to the story being circulated on the social media with respect to the claim of misappropration of fund in the university. It wishes to correct the impression as follows: That the current leadership of the university is one that has, since inception, thrived on financial discipline while it guides itself by probity and accountability. That the lettering is uncalled for as it only seeks to delibrately cause disharmony within the university community by describing as "misappropation" a delay in the release of monthly deduction.   That the writing is equivocal, delibrate and treacherous since the writer only gathered tendentious sentences and blatantly failed  throughout the body of the letter to substantiate the claim of misappropriation. That management has since been releasing d

Summary of Glory Osei’s come come back thread

After being dragged on twitter on allegations of fraud and ill treatment of her staff, self acclaimed serial entrepreneur, Glory Osei, has finally returned with a very uncomfortable and lengthy response. The response was put together in a thread of over 180 tweets and not everybody will have the patience to read it, so we have summarised it all, highlighting every key point. Enjoy. This was supposed to be a book Apparently her October dragging was premeditated and planned by all of us She reminded us that we are poor, unhappy, don’t have light and SARS is still a menace (good point) Confirms her marriage but notes that we are not worth of her love story Blah blah blah about how she and hers started their business and their struggles. Something about Ebola She and hers ran to Ghana to escape Ebola leaving the business to their staff, who wrecked it. She supports Buhari’s view that we are all Lazy Nigerian youths Endless blame on the staff Oh we’re actually getting that book,

PDP Seeks Travel Ban On INEC Chiefs, Police High Command

Image
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday called on the international community to impose a travel ban on the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, and other officials of the commission as well as some top officials of the Nigeria Police Force for their perceived roles in the Bayelsa and Kogi States governorship elections. The party also called on INEC to cancel the two governorship and Kogi West senatorial elections for the brazen rigging, violence and thuggery that marked the November 16 polls. PDP also dismissed reports of its plan to sanction former president, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, for allegedly aligning with the All Progressives Congress (APC) to defeat the party’s governorship candidate in last Saturday’s election. Jonathan, it added, remained a respected leader of the party. These were the high points of a press conference addressed yesterday by its National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus. Secondus said: “The PDP, th

Nigeria Spends N183 Billion Annually To Import Cassava Derivatives – CBN

Image
In spite of being the world’s largest cassava grower, Nigeria still spends about $600m (about N183bn) annually to import cassava derivatives; foreign exchange that would otherwise have been used to build public infrastructure. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele, stated this in Abuja on Thursday during the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing ceremony with key stakeholders in the cassava value chain. There was also an MoU between Nigeria Cassava Growers Association and large-scale Cassava Processors to guarantee steady off-take and processing of cassava in Nigeria going forward. He said the MoU with the relevant stakeholders is a move to maximize local benefits of all the derivatives in cassava and save scarce foreign exchange. Key political figures at the ceremony include the Ekiti state Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi (who is also the Chairman, Nigerian Governors Forum); Ondo state Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu; Oyo state Deputy Governor, Engr Rauf Olaniyan
