The Presidency on Thursday took a swipe at opposition Peoples Democratic Party, accusing it of playing irresponsible politics with the latest attacks in Plateau State that left scores of people dead. Nigeria would have received £9.1 million if the match against Argentina ended in their favour. This is because any team eliminated from the round of 16 stage will receive £9.1million. The World Cup winning team will receive £28 million in prize money from FIFA, with 2nd, 3rd and 4th place teams receiving £21million, £18million and £16million respectively. An industrial action may be looming in the oil industry as the Port Harcourt zone of the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers has issued a 7-day ultimatum to one of the oil companies operating in the zone for alleged unlawful disengagement of some of its members. Chairman of the Port Harcourt zone of NUPENG, Alex Agwanwor at a media briefing in Port Harcourt said the ultimatum was an outcome of an extensive deliberation by the union over the matter. Agwanwor said three hundred of their members were unlawfully disengaged by the company, stressing that the move was against labour laws. Photos of the 3-year-old boy went viral this morning after he as declared missing by a family member. According to the lady who shared his photo, the boy, Eyitayo was involved in the unfortunate fuel tanker accident with his mother, twin sister and the Driver at Otedola bridge yesterday evening. They were a few cars away from the tanker when the explosion occurred. The Driver (Mr. Joseph) carried Eyitayo while the mother escaped with Eyitoke (Eyitayo’s Twin). The whereabout of Eyitayo and Mr. Joseph is still unknown as all attempts to trace them at the scene of the accident proved abortive.
