Photos: Olufemi Olaniyi No fewer than 17 persons have been reportedly shot dead by gunmen suspected to be herdsmen at Igangan, in the Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State. Residents told our correspondent that the hoodlums invaded the town on motorcycles around 11pm on Saturday and started killing and destroying property, which continued until around 3am on Sunday. At daybreak, residents reportedly saw corpses of children and adults littered some places in the town, while houses and vehicles, including a truck loaded with cassava flour, were razed by the attackers. Nigerian preacher TB Joshua, one of Africa’s most Influential Evangelists, has died at the a ge of 57. A post on his Facebook page, which has more than five million followers, said: “God has taken His servant”. He was said to have died on Saturday shortly after conducting a live broadcast, but the cause of his death has not been made public. Tens of thousands would attend his services, with top politicians from across Africa among his followers. But his teachings and practises were also controversial. In April, YouTube suspended his account due to allegations of hate speech after a rights body filed a complaint over videos showing the preacher conducting prayers to “cure” gay people. Facebook also removed at least one post showing a woman being slapped while TB Joshua said he was casting out a “demonic spirit”. Fast & Furious 9 — being released as F9 in some markets — has leaked onto torrent sites and other networks that enable piracy, in differing versions of quality and file size (from 900MB to 1.99GB). While most copies are arguably genuine, given the attached screenshots and user comments attesting to their legitimacy, some are fraudulent and merely exist as a trap to load viruses, malware, and whatnot onto the computers of unsuspecting individuals. But even with those genuine cases, the illegal Fast & Furious 9 copies are of remarkably poor quality, feature hard-coded subtitles, and/ or are filled with advertisements. Barcelona will reportedly wear a special new kit in the Champions League next season and the first images of what it might look like have been leaked.
