The Federal Government , yesterday, released a comprehensive schedule for various National Examinations for exit classes, spanning from August 17 to November 18, 2020. The Minister of State for Education, Mr. Chukwuemeka Nwajuiba, who made the announcement in Abuja after series of meetings with Chief Executives of examination bodies in the country said, the West African Examinations Council, (WAEC-SSCE) will start on August 17, 2020, while the National Business and Technical Examination Board, NABTEB, examinations will commence on the September 21, and end by October 15, 2020 . In a statement by the Director of Press and Public Relations, BemGoong, the Minister said other details of the schedule “indicate that the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations, SSCE, for SS3, conducted by NECO will start on the 5th of October and end on 18th of November, 2020.” The statement reads: “The Basic Education Certificate Examinations, BECE, for JSS 3 also conducted by NECO, will start ...

A viral video currently trending on social media has captured moment a perceived side chick of a married man was escaping through the window of the house after her lover’s wife came knocking. The video is now gaining momentum on the internet after making it to several popular blogs. In the video, the lady was seen scaling out of a room from its window while a supposed friend who probably hung around as a “watchman” could be seen laughing while recording her. There have been at least two bomb blasts within Maiduguri, capital of Borno state, within the last 10 minutes. A resident told TheCable that the first blast occurred around Gunge, a resident area, around 6pm on Thursday, 30th July,  2020. According to a security source, the other blast happened around a place where cars are sold in the state capital. It is unclear if Boko Haram insurgents are behind the attacks which happened 24 hours after the convoy of Babagana Zulum, the governor, was attacked in Kukawa local government area of the state. Lucy and Tochi had a heated argument earlier today over the cleaning of the Big Brother Naija house. The argument ensued after Lucy directed Tochi to go outside and clean as there are many people cleaning the interior of the house. Tochi who fired back at Lucy for singling him out, insisted that he will only move out when others are cleaning the exterior part of the house. A former Buffalo State football player is fighting for his life after being shot at close range during a liquor store fight in Queens, New York. Malachi Capers, 20, a former defensive end at Division III Buffalo State, was shot in front of a 136 Deli & Grill on Springfield Boulevard on Monday afternoon, July 27. Video surveillance shows Malachi bumping into the suspect inside the liquor store, as he attempts to walk past him, leading to a verbal argument before the pair started fighting. The altercation spilled into the street outside the store where the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the former footballer at close range. Malachi was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and is expected to survive, the WKBW reported. Senator Ayo Fasanmi, leader of Yoruba socio-cultural group ‘Afenifere’ is dead at the age of 94. The Afenifere leader died in Osogbo in the late hours of Wednesday July 29, after a brief illness. There was uproar at the Muritala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos , on Wednesday after two airplanes collided at the international wing of the airport. An Airbus A330-243 owned by Middle East Airlines with registration number OD-MEA, ran into a Boeing 777 airplane with registration number TC-LJC operated by Turkish Airlines. Sources at the airport said the Turkish cargo flight was parked at the Lagos airport apron when the Middle East airbus ran into it. “The Turkish cargo flight was parked at the tarmac when the MEA airbus ran into it l, ripping off part of the empennage of the aircraft. “The MEA flight was taxiing when it happened,” the source said. The MEA airbus, which had been boarding passengers since 12:00pm, had to disembark every passenger on board. Speaking to the jury after he was accused of raping and murdering his friend, he said he didn’t kill her intentionally, but it was an accident. Dr Chris Ngige, The Nigerian Minister of Labour and Employment says the Federal Government has so far spent N15.8 billion on hazard allowances in its teaching hospitals and medical centres across the country. Dr Chris Ngige disclosed this while addressing newsmen at a meeting with the National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) leadership in Abuja on Monday, July 27. The Resident Doctors over the weekend, threatened to go on another warning start in August if their needs which includes payment of their hazard allowance, provision of PPEs and others, are not met. A 24-year-old security man, identified as Isaac, has been arrested by police in Asaba, Delta State for defiling his neighbour’s 3-year-old daughter. According to a source, Isaac is close to the victim’s family, and she is sometimes, left in his care. Unknown to the family, he has been abusing the minor. Narrating what led to his arrest, the source said: “The mother was searching for the child and she was told she is with him. So she relaxed. Only for her child to come back into the house crying that her private part hurts”. When the mother checked she found blood and cream. The 2019/2020 Premier League season has finally come to an end, and it did so with plenty of final day drama.
